About Baulko

The Baulkham Hills 15/2's had an average season, with a few newcomers it took a while for the boys to get going as a team. When the team spirit was up the boys played really well together. The games that we should have won slipped away from us and proved to be the difference on the points table and getting to the semis. But there is always next season. Some of the highlights of the year worth mentioning are Cameron and Aviv getting their first half centuries, Tarin scoring his first Century. In the bowling honours Aviv had a good day in Round 10 getting 3 for 4 off 9 overs, newcomer Scott got 2 for 7 off 2 overs. In Round 12 Simon got figures of 4 for 18 off 11 overs and Matt got 3 for 16. THE TEAM Simon Pobihuszka: Simon in his second season continued to improve his bowling and increased his batting average over the year. With his ability to swing the ball it's no wonder he was the leading wicket taker for the season (21). Keep up the consistency. Dean Edwards: Dean, one of the senior players in the team, continued to show his expertise behind the stumps. Batting has improved tremendously from the previous years. Dean doesn't get much of a chance to bowl because he has cemented his place behind the stumps. Matthew Paish: Rotten luck with injury has kept Matt out for most of the season but he is a great team player and was surely missed in the field. He has a great pair of hands and got a couple of catches late in the season. Let's hope he'll be back for a full season. Tarin Piskulich: Continues to excel as a captain, as the figures state. Highest individual score of 118 and 20 wickets for the season. He's had an excellent all round cricket season. Keep up the good work. Cameron Guest: Solid opening batsman who has broken the drought by scoring his maiden half century this season. Fielding in the slips, his preferred position, he took a couple of screamers. Cameron has knuckled down in the opening position and set a high standard for himself and others that follow. Great work. Dane Stoffberg: His reputation as a spinner is second to none. This year Dane batted with great determination and on occasion lasted longer than some of the specialized batsmen. He held up the tail end for some of the more crucial innings. Shaheen Badat: Shaheen continues to improve and is a great team supporter in the field. He showed a great commitment to the team and always gave his best. Joe Tham: In his second season with the team Joe continues to improve. Occasionally bowling, Joe supported the other bowlers really well. He has taken a few great catches this season. Aviv Pudipeddi: Top bowler again this year with an average of 8.89. It has taken a while but Aviv finally managed to score his first 50 with some aggressive batting. With a little more luck Aviv will get his 100 next season. James Duignan: James was a newcomer to the team. James made a big effort for the team this year and always gave it his all. James took catches that were on their way to the boundary. Keep up the good work. Scott Groom: Scott was another newcomer to the team and played with sincere determination, improving on a weekly basis. A great all rounder and team supporter with a very positive attitude. Matt Hinchcliffe: Matt was the third newcomer to the team, coming from a baseball background Matt could hit the ball out of the park on his best day. A great athlete in the field with good hand and eye coordination taking 14 catches for the season, a fantastic effort from Matt.
Brett Piskulich To my players old and new thanks for a great season.
