2004/2005 Report - Under 12/1
Thank you boys for being a great team not only on the field, but for your efforts at training each week. It was a real pleasure to coach you. From seasons beginning till end all boys listened at training and overall I am sure we developed into a stronger outfit by the years end. We played the game for the right reasons, to learn more about a wonderful game & more importantly have fun. Congratulations to the award winners, but it must be remembered a good team will generally always beat a team of individuals.
For the second year running we met Kings Langley in the Grand Final and unfortunately we were only beaten by ten runs yet again. Congratulations to them as they were the slightly better team on the day. Having said that I believe our boys gave it their all, a coach can only ask this of his team. At the days end both the parents and myself were very proud of your efforts and the way in which you handled a tight loss in yet another grand final two years running.
Without running through all the boys individually I would like to say, that I hope that all of you will back up again next year, where hopefully we can go one step further and claim a baggy maroon cap as a premiership winning team.
Thanks to all parents for your wonderful support, and in particular to Shan our scorer and Bernadette for their extra efforts, which made my job that little bit easier. Also a thank you to the committee for their wonderful contribution, well done guys and gals.
