Senior Registrar's Report - 2004/2005
This season the Club had 13 senior teams. Fine efforts across all the grades saw 11 teams make the semi finals. Of these, 3 made the final. Unfortunately this season we were unable to win any Senior premierships.
As many of you know, this was my first season as Senior Registrar. I would like to thank the previous registrar, Bob Dokter for all the assistance he provided throughout the season.
A highlight of the season was the effort put in by 'A' grade to make the semi finals. After being put in this grade against the Club's and team's wishes, the team performed admirably despite many interruptions. Hopefully the Club can continue to build a strong 'A' grade side over the next few seasons.
I would like to give special thanks to all players who filled in for teams throughout the season. As we all know, playing short if never fun and having willing reserves is vital to ensure that teams have a successful season.
I would to take this opportunity to ask teams to make an special effort next season to enlist a few reserves each - ask your friends and workmates if anyone is interested in the occasional game of cricket.
