2004/2005 Report - Under 15/2
The past season has been one of challenge and intrigue. Challenge in the respect of a few of the boys that stood up for the challenge, intrigue in the fact I was fascinated. Cricket is a team sport. The fact of the matter being that everybody needs to turn up to the field every Saturday, not just when you feel like it, which resulted in us not being very competitive. Over and above there were many boys in the team that committed themselves to attending each week. Cricket is team sport, whereby we need 11 players on the field every week.
It has been a revelation to have coached you over the past season. I've certainly had fun, and certainly hope you have too. There has certainly been a marked improvement in the commitment in all of you. Keep on working towards the goal, and remember cricket is a game of patience. Furthermore I'd to thank a few people, namely Kuru, (as manager), Peter (for scoring), and for everyone else who helped along the way.
Andrew - An outstanding player. Unfortunately not able to play every game due to school commitments. An excellent batsman with undoubtedly the best batting average, and not too bad a bowler. A fully dedicated player with great fielding skills and ability. Andrew the world is your oyster.
Shashank: Team Captain. A good example of a player who gives it his all. Never fearing to open the batting. Led by example and had a really good season.
Thevvy - "The" wicketkeeper/batsman. Great season behind the wickets but a notably a batsman who knows the word "consolidate" when it mattered. Keep up the good work.
Taimoor - Good all-rounder! Has the ability to become a really good cricketer, with the both the bat and the ball but needs to focus more to attain his potential.
Haidor - Good striker of the ball! Has shown great potential as a fieldsman. Is a good left arm spin bowler when required.
Animesh - Relatively new comer to the team. Showed great improvement over the season
David - has the ability to become a great cricketer but lacks concentration. When fully focused is destined to become a really good bowler.
Avinash - Another new comer to the team. Because of his height he lacked the mental determination but nevertheless tried his utmost.
Damir - Another new comer to the team. Played a handful of games and decided to leave. Really good spin bowler.
Mithran - Had a relatively good season. Great bowling at the beginning of the season. Keep working at it.
Cleon - The surprise package. Great fieldsman and has the ability to hold a bat when needed. Keep up the good work.
Ryan - Helped us out on a few occasions. Sensational bowler! But with school commitments was not able to achieve his ability.
Mitchell - Great bowler never stopping short of anything. Always prepared to give it his all. Potentially has the ability to become a really good cricketer. Safe pair of hands and took a couple of blinders while fielding in the slips cordon.
Nick - Great guy. A joy to have in any team. Relentless spin bowler and great all rounder. Has the potential to go to higher grounds.
Connor - Excellent bowler and batsman. His fielding goes without saying. A natural born cricketer. Has great things installed for him in the future.
