The Under 10 Reds went into the season with only three boys that had played cricket before but this didn't stop them winning six games out of the ten that they played. Everyone in the team tried hard throughout the season and the improvement in each of the boys was noticeable. Congratulations to you all and thank you to everyone that supported the boys during the season. Nic Beed - Nic was one of our experiences players and this showed in his batting. Nic had a consistent year with the bat with a highest score of 11. He bowled some great spells and as his concentration continues to improve so will his results. Michael Bellam - The figures speak for themselves. Michael has a fantastic year being the team's top run scorer making 184 at an average of 23. His bowling was accurate and fast and in the field he was a dynamo. Good season Michael. Nicholas Button - If Nicholas continues to practice hard his all round game will continue to improve. He tries hard with his batting and bowling and is reliable in the field. Luke Chapman - A broken arm hampered Luke's season but when the plaster came off nothing could stop his enthusiasm. A natural behind the stumps, Luke will make a wonderful wicketkeeper if given the opportunity. Travis Connelly - The highlight of Travis' season was against Kings Langley when he took 3 catches, 2 whilst keeping. Travis showed maturity when batting only getting out 4 times during the season which will see him score more runs when he moves to Under 11's. Jack Engdahl - What a season Jack had. The statistics don't show the improvement in Jacks play or how he took what he learnt at training to the game. Jack's running between wickets was superb and made many runs for the team in sticky situations. Well done Jack Thomas Flynn - The improvement in Thomas' game was very pleasing and he scored good runs for the team throughout the season. His bowling will only get better as he masters the techniques needed. Keep on trying Thomas. James Gardiner - James batted and bowled well throughout the season. His batting technique is sound and he waits for the ball to come to him. Something that is hard to teach. James was our equal leading wicket taker with 12 and his average was 4.58 a fine effort. He was fantastic in the field with safe hands and a strong arm and backs up well. Luca McAllister - Luca will never die wondering having the best appeal in the team. His love of the game flowed onto the field and his game improved steadily throughout the season. His top score of 25 was lovely to watch and he also valued his wicket only getting out 4 times all season. His fielding was a strength taking 3 catches and capturing a great stumping for the team. Brandon Mastro - A top score of 17 was Brandon's highlight of the season. His enthusiasm in the field was appreciated saving lots of runs throughout the season. Brandon was always ready to take on the role of wicketkeeper and tried his best when bowling. Brad Ripps - Taking 12 wickets at an average of 6.25 made Brad the equal leading wicket taker for the team. His batting will be well suited to Under 11's as he only got out 3 times, the least in the team. His fielding was safe and his direct hit run outs especially against Wentworthville were a highlight. Well Done. Tarush Sunil - In his second season of cricket Tarush was still the youngest player in the side. He is a very reliable and accurate bowler and will do well in the future. It was wonderful to watch Tarush bat especially against Wentworthville where he scored 13 his top score. One to watch. Jake Williams - Jake tried hard all season and his game improved accordingly. His favourite opposition was Norwest where he scored his 2 top scores of 9 and 5. Jakes bowling steadily improved during the season and will only get better with time and practice. Just keep trying. Lastly I would like to thank the boys, my Manager, Marg Mastro, the parents and supporters of the boys and all those involved in Baulkham Hills Cricket Club.
