2006/2007 Report - B10 Grade
What can I say about season 2006/2007? I'll start by saying thank you to all the players who put in every ounce of energy that they had when playing. I would also like to thank a few special people that also contributed to our team this year, firstly thanks to Sally Rich, who was constantly there to assist with the scoring, meetings, results and various other house keeping roles. I would also like to say thanks to the people who umpired during the byes and did canteen duty, these are duties that need to be done to maintain the smooth running of the club and other games so a very special thank you to all of those people. I would also like to recognize the people that filled in for our team and people who came to support our team, even though some of these people would like to have played but couldn't because of injury or suspension, they added invaluable support.
Next I would like to say that I have never been so disappointed to miss the semi finals. I strongly believe that we had one of the best teams in the grade and could match any other side if we turned up with the right frame of mind, unfortunately we lacked whole team performances at times even though we had examples of individuals achieving great results
Season 06/07 is one in which most of us would like to forget however I have every confidence in our team returning to be much more competitive later on this year. Enjoy the rest boys, we've got a title to win next year.
