Chris with the 2015/2016 PDCA Club Champion's Trophy Chris began his involvement with Baulkham Hills Cricket Club when he first played in the Under 12's in 1980/1981. He progressed through the junior age groups and into seniors. He played 3 seasons in B4 and C grade before moving to the Shires teams where he played the next 13 seasons until 1999/2000. After a couple of seasons off, Chris returned to play with the club in the higher grades. Chris has logged an impressive thirty seasons as a player for Baulkham Hills. In addition Chris has had several stints as a junior coach when required, for both Luke and Aaron's teams. Chris joined the Management Committee in 2004/2005 as Vice President. He held this role for 7 seasons until 2010/2011. In 2011/2012 Chris became President and is currently serving his eighth season in that position. Chris has held many roles in his time on the committee. Chris has been on the Senior Grading Committee, both officially or ex-officio, from 2003/2004 till the present. He has served on the Grounds Committee for 11 seasons from 2004/2005 till 2014/2015 and was the Coaching Coordinator for five seasons from 2006/2007 till 2010/2011. Chris has been one of our PDCA Delegates since 2011/2012 and has had a major role in the purchase of club clothing over the past few seasons. One of Chris' most valuable contributions has been his role as the in2CRICKET Coordinator, which he has held since 2007/2008. With registrations ranging between 60 and 90 participants, Chris and his team of helpers introduce the youngsters to cricket in a fun way. As our major form of advertising is word of mouth, the success of the clinic is a major reason our junior numbers in 10's and 11's are so healthy. In his role as President, Chris has become the face of Baulko. He is the first point of contact for many people and organisations who deal with the club. He is always willing to meet and lobby council and other organisations to improve cricket facilities for our club. Chris is always one of the first at any club event. He is happy to man the bbq at Junior Double Wicket, or paint creases on pitches, whatever is needed. Chris has taken an active role on the Centenary Committee after being asked to attend the first meeting to welcome those who had volunteered.
